That's right about where my cat sleeps, only there's more junk on my desk, and every time he streches, he knocks everything on the floor!
Photoshop user this month rave's about the Dell 24"

From the point of view of geomancy the areas where cats like to have a regular nap are not such great places for humans..its to do with the type of energy readiating with out of the ground or whatever is in the local environ'.
However this makes perfect sense since we all know that computers, printers, etc, etc are all causes of Sick Building / Office Syndrome.
Jai
PS I met a farmer who owned a big property who thought geomancy etc was all a load of bull' until he flew across his property to see that many of his trees had died in long straight lines, virtually intersecting at his house !!!!
He now travels around the country talking and eduacting others about geomancy.
I don;t have a cat, and my stuff still falls on the floor....best place for most of it as well

I hardly know what to do with this
One thing I do know: since my cat Yoda prefers my lap, I now fear for the other body parts coexistent in my lap...

I've been watching the Dell displays since reading this thread - they are on sale right now and are a really good value, must be on the brink of replacing them with faster refresh lcd panels. The thing that has my head spinning is that everytime I visit the Dell site the price is different. Its like they adjust the price daily for inventory?

Way OT, but I don't let my cats near my office if I can help it. They like to reorganize things in there, if you catch my drift.
Someday I'll take the plunge into an LCD flat monitor, but I'm still a CRT man.

They are constantly offering promotions via different sources. Seems nuts to me but they feel it allows them to better target folks.
The best way to get a price is to follow the links from a source like Deal Mac.

An observation on the Dell displays. I've setup their 17, 19, and 20" "square" units plus their 20" and 24" wide screen units. They best bang for the buck seems to be the 20" wide screen. Especially 2 of them. If you get them on sale they are the same price as one 24" wide but give you much more room.
The 2005FPW can be had for $484 or so on most sale days and has be $434 or so 2 or 3 times in the last 6 months. And back around last August was at $400 for a few days. As to what it will sell for in the future, only Dell marketing might know that.

I'm thinking the same thing. The vga input will let me use this with my 12"PB until I figure out what new computer to get later in the year.

Yeah, but how does a 16:9 DVD movie look on 2x 20" screens?

Well just fine on ONE display, PowerCADD on the other with a PIP over PowerCADD for CNN tv feed via the S-Video PIP input.
These displays are 1680x1050 each.

Well, I've been watching the 20" dell after confirming that my revA 12" powerbook will drive it at 1680x1050. It dipped below $400 last week so I bit the bullet and ordered one. It came today and now I am in widescreen hog heaven.
The Dell seems like a good piece. The housing is creaky plastic - not as bullet proof feeling as an apple display, but it has a bunch of things that the Apple display does not seem to have - Svideo, picture in a picture, things that will give it a second life as part of my entertainment system some day.
I must say however that although the picture is bright and clear, it is not as sharp as the cheapo $160 15" widescreen I picked up at staples to tide me over. I think its the non-glare surface. The other had a gloss screen, and picked up reflections in a bright room, but made the picture clear and bright.
