I posted this in another thread but it may be dead so I am re-posting it in this thread for those who might be interested.
I am not affiliated with the developers, just a PowerCadd user who has found it to be extremely useful.
Dropbox is a backup/synchronization program that comes with 2GB of free online storage and many other features, and it's just a beta.
http://www.getdropbox.com/
It is based on the Amazon S3 service.
If you install Dropbox on your computer, (available free by invitation) and keep the current drawing (maybe even an alias, haven't tried that yet) that you are working on in the Dropbox folder on your computer, the file and all of your incremental changes will be saved to the clouds and be available for retrieval. In other word it should protect you from mistakes like overwriting files etc.
All files remain synchronized between the host and the remote server every time you make a change.
Dropbox has many other features that most users will find useful.
I find this program indispensable for sharing files with associates in other offices and also for giving access to clients. Files can be made accessible on the web without having the program by sending a link via e-mail or IM.
Let me know if you need an invite, I have (3) left. Everyone who gets an invite and uses Dropbox then gets 10 invites to send to whoever they wish.
