| So, Nick, what explains the particularly unfortunate type-face (now called a "font," which used to mean one SIZE of a particular face) for the title and headlines of your site? Not an impressive choice for a company specializing in -- type! Architectural signage is an important element of the world "street" and deserves the best lettering and typography available. I am sorry to report an increasing degree of illiteracy (or is that "ill-letteracy"?) in signage in recent decades; the earliest offense, more common than bad kerning (letter-spacing), is the reversal of Roman-face capitals, placing the thicker leg of "A" on the right instead of the left, for instance. (Other than "Z" and some [Arabic] numerals, all Roman letters follow the pattern established by the use of pen or brush as held by a right-handed writer, so a broad line is created by a top-left-to-bottom-right stroke, while a narrow one is made by the opposite diagonal stroke.) |

Pardon -- make that ". . .thicker leg of "A" on the LEFT instead of the RIGHT. . ."

SDR, your respect goes miles along with your kind post.
As for Nick who was an Aeronautical professional that has worked on the Lunar Modules 1, 2 and 3, and has flight line officer duty as well as time served in the Vietnam Campaign, and after his stint in the Military he studied Art & Advertising at New York Technical College, and was a working partner ...I can see where he still has his web site under construction as he duly notes at the very bottom of his web page...so lets give him the benefit of the doubt
And who knows, one day you may find yourself needing some professional help... |

Yessir. Duly noted. I failed to see that the site is not finished, and was also unduly unkind in my criticism. "You'll get more flies with honey than with vinegar," as the old lady said. I do hope that Nick (whatever his previous accomplishments) and company will succeed in attracting many architectural and other clients, aided by the most professional "house graphics" possible -- perhaps with the help of one of those clients?
Best wishes -- SDR |

In only a few short days and a couple of hours exploring this forum I have notice that there are about a half dozen individuals who are CAUSA TURPIS or who are quick to criticize well intentioned posts.
They obviously never learned a lesson that I had learned in the First Grade of Elementary School - NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!
Or another lesson I learned while in the Military was - DONT SHOOT TILL YOU SEE THE WHITES OF THEIR EYES!
This Post, announcing that I can be of assistance with regard to Architectural Signs, was attacked by one of those individuals. The individual went to my web address, studied the webpage and gave a full report on what he thought of it. Never contacted me to find out what my service is about - only criticize.
I know my Webpage is shitty! But I also know that my work is among the finest in the US.
If you have a BONA FIDE Project that you would like assistance on - tickle me with a note and you contact number. I will be happy to provide you with a long list of some very prestigious projects that I worked on and a list of references of people in positions that you or I could only dream of being in, during our lifetime.
Looking forward to developing mutually beneficial relationships.
